Seton Middle School Tuition Fundraising
Fundraising Opportunities to Reduce Tuition
Throughout the school year, families may participate in a variety of special events, with a percentage of the resulting profit being credited directly to their tuition billing.
Examples of typical once-per-year opportunities include selling Entertainment Books, magazine subscriptions, Sally Foster giftwrap and spring plants. The two programs that offer a way to pay down tuition are Market Day and Scrip.
Market Day offers a wide variety of frozen and pre-packaged foods, and 100% of the profit will be applied to pay tuition. Order forms can be obtained at any of the three TCCES elementary schools or Seton, or by visiting the company's website (www.marketday.com). Delivery occurs monthly at each of the four locations, and you need not have children in the school to use a particular pick-up location.
Scrip is a nationwide program that enables organizations to raise money by purchasing gift cards at a reduced rate, selling them to their supporters and then keeping the difference as profit. TCCES passes the benefits of scrip on to participating families by applying a percentage of the profit to a family's tuition bill. Literally hundreds of nationwide and local retailers, hotels, restaurants and businesses participate in the Scrip program. By getting into the habit of using scrip to purchase everyday items such as groceries, gas and fast food, TCCES families can noticeably reduce their tuition bill without increasing their usual spending.
Scrip order forms are available on the website and at every TCCES school and parish office. Some schools and parishes also have designated times when more commonly used gift cards are available for immediate purchase. Less frequently used cards must be ordered. Orders are placed on Thursday mornings, and most cards are then available the following Thursday.
Parish and community members who wish to purchase Market Day products or Scrip may have their proceeds applied to a particular family's tuition bill, or may designate a TCCES tuition assistance fund.
