Q: What is Seton's dress code?
A: Generally speaking, Seton's dress code reflects self-respect and the dignity of the learning environment. All students are expected to be neat, clean, well groomed. Students are expected to dress up on days when liturgies or prayer services are held (usually Thursdays), as well as on Holy Days. Specific guidelines can be found in the Seton Dress Code.
Q: What is a STAR group?
A: STAR groups are guidance-based small groups of 10-14 students from the same grade level who meet on a daily basis with a teacher/mentor. The sessions involve introducing and reinforcing gospel values, service activities, coping strategies, etc. through group discussion, role-playing, games, individual conferences and intramural competitions. The small group setting with a teacher/mentor is designed to create a support network for each individual and to develop an understanding and valuing of self, others and life experiences.
Q: Will I be able to eat lunch with my friends?
A: Students eat with their classmates. For information about the hot lunch program, visit the TCCES Food Service webpage or contact Food Service Director Lynn Graves at 920-967-0107 or lgraves@tcces.k12.wi.us. For account information, contact Anne Greif at the same number or agreif@tcces.k12.wi.us.
Q: Do I have to try out for sports teams?
A: Seton has an "everyone plays" policy. All sports teams are open to everyone; all that is required is signing up and committing oneself to full participation. Seton's philosophies include giving every student quality playing time on the field and a balanced distribution of players' abilities when a class has enough participants to form more than one team. See the Seton Athletic Code for specific information.

Q: Please explain the parent involvement program.
A: Seton Catholic Middle School considers all parents very valuable and special resources. As such, Seton requires parents to give 40 hours of time to Seton through volunteering and/or involvement time. Parents record their hours on parent hour logs and turn them in to the school office. Quarterly, the recorded hours are applied at a rate of $5.00 per hour to reduce the $200 per family parent involvement fee that is assessed to each Seton family at the beginning of the school year. There are many areas for which parents can receive credit including (but certainly not limited to) chaperoning, serving lunch, helping in the office, driving groups of student athletes to away games and even attending conferences and meetings. Volunteer opportunities are announced in the newsletter or through the bi-weekly envelope information.
Q: What is the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton award?
A: The award was established during the 2008-09 school year to recognize students who show a genuine commitment to growing in their faith life and to serving others, reflecting the life of our school's patron. Students are required to record service hours, submit written reflections and secure letters of recommendation from parents and teachers. Every Seton student is eligible to apply for the award, which is bestowed at the award ceremony at the end of the school year.
Q: To whom do I address questions about the school lunch program?
A: For information about the hot lunch program, visit the TCCES Food Service webpage or contact Food Service Director Lynn Graves at 920-967-0107 or lgraves@tcces.k12.wi.us. For account information, contact Anne Greif at the same number or agreif@tcces.k12.wi.us.
Q: Can parents attend faith-related activities?
A: Parents and guests are welcome and encouraged to participate in all prayer services, liturgies, sacramental opportunities, etc.
Q: How will I know if school is canceled because of weather?
A: Cancellations/early dismissals will be announced on major television/radio stations. When Neenah or Menasha public schools are out, TCCES schools are out as well. In the event of an unscheduled early dismissal, students who normally ride the bus or walk will be sent home by normal means. Students who rely on parental transportation will be allowed to call a parent.
Q: Where can I find out about my student's assignments and grades?
A: Visit Edline to check a student's latest grades, verify daily assignments and view rubrics for projects.
