 SMC Parents

In this section of the SMC website, you will find information about several areas of concern to parents.

Communication
Certainly, one of the most important factors in the strong relationship between SMC and its school families is communication. Click here to read about the various ways in which we stay in touch.

Involvement
Here you will find details about the various ways in which SMC parents can get involved, as well as information about who to contact if you are interested in getting involved, which we urge you to do.

Tuition Fundraising
Throughout the school year, families may participate in a variety of special events, with a percentage of the resulting profit being credited directly to their tuition billing. Click this link for more information.

School Fundraising
Third source fundraising is an important part of the SMC and TCCES budgets. Families, faculty, staff and administrators put in many hours planning and hosting events that help to keep tuition costs under control and that contribute to the well-rounded education we are able to provide. Not only that, these events are a lot of fun, too! Click here for more information.

Hot Lunch Program
TCCES is proud to provide a hot lunch program that exceeds federal guidelines for nutrition. Click here for menus, contact links and information about the debit payment system.

VIRTUS® and Safety
The emotional and physical well being of every student is a primary concern at TCCES. Click here for more information about steps we take to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for all.

St. Mary Central High School is committed to keeping parents informed. A variety of communication methods are used to support this effort.

Zephyr Express
This newsletter is produced once a month. Beginning in Fall 2009, it will be published online, and can be accessed via the TCCES and SMC websites or by clicking here. Zephyr Express includes a letter from the principal and briefly recaps news in several different areas including guidance, athletics and faith formation. Calendars of upcoming events and important reminders about opportunities and deadlines are included.

Daily Announcements
The daily announcements are a written version of what is read over the public address system each morning following morning prayer. These announcements generally relate to announcements and reminders about upcoming activities and events, as well as changes in dates or times.

Email Communications
In addition to personal emails that you may receive from school or system personnel regarding situations specific to your family, periodic emails are sent out to all SMC and/or TCCES families to alert you to exciting happenings or upcoming events and opportunities.

Correspondence regarding balances on TCCES Food Service accounts is handled via email. Questions about account balances should be directed to Anne Greif or by phoning 920-967-0107.

If you wish to communicate with an SMC faculty or staff member by email, the addresses are composed of the recipient's first initial and last name, followed by @tcces.k12.wi.us (for example Mr. Batey's email address is pbatey@tcces.k12.wi.us).

Edline
All faculty post students' grades on Edline. Parents are encouraged to check this resource periodically for trends in a student's progress.

U.S. Postal Mail
Letters regarding tuition and fees, as well as announcements of particular importance are sent by traditional mail.

Radio/Television
Watch local radio and television stations for updates on school closings due to inclement weather.

Twitter
Parents may sign up to follow the school on Twitter for announcements about schedule changes in sports practices and games, etc. Contact Athletic Director Mike Heideman for details.

Telephone
Of course, you may contact anyone at St. Mary Central via telephone. Please dial 920-722-7796 and the party's extension.
