SMC History
In August of 1997, a dream became reality for many when the doors to the new St. Mary Central High School were opened at 1050 Zephyr Drive in the Town of Menasha. This modern, state-of-the-art facility was the direct result of the efforts of church, community and school leaders and supporters who have a never-ending commitment to Catholic education.
For many newcomers to SMC and TCCES, the new SMC facility is all they know. However, most SMC alumni identify their high school experience with the old school, the St. Mary Central High School they attended at 528 Second Street in Menasha.
Fortunately, our church and community leaders had the foresight to know a new school facility was necessary to remain competitive and to help produce successful students and alumni. We continue to benefit because many of these leaders still take an active interest in our school.
While the physical location of St. Mary Central has changed to a more modern facility, the deep faith, strength and spirit that was alive at 528 Second Street is still thriving and growing at 1050 Zephyr Drive. These are still our schoolís most important assets.
If you have not yet visited the new SMC facility, we invite you for a tour. Our doors are always open.
