JZBC Night at SMC Basketball
All players are invited as guests of SMC on Friday, February 24 as the Girls Varsity Basketball Team challenges Valders at 7:30 p.m. Come early to watch the Freshman and Junior Varsity team action beginning at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively. Wear your JZ warm up shirt and receive a coupon for a beverage and popcorn and be entered in a drawing for some great prizes! Come out on the floor at half time to do warm-ups with our Zephyr players. Team introductions will also be made at half-time. We hope to see you there!
JZBC Apparel Order
Junior Zephyr Basketball Club apparel is available to order (order form attached). Sweatshirts, t-shirts (long and short), polo shirts and wind shirts are offered at reasonable prices. Take a look! Do you have an interest in coaching youth basketball?
The Junior Zephyrs Basketball Club (JZBC) is seeking volunteer coaches for several teams offered by the club for grades 3 to 8. The JZBC was created to give interested students an opportunity to play competitive tournament basketball. The JZBC is run by a volunteer board governed by the TCCES Board's Athletic Committee. Members of the St. Mary Central (SMC) boys and girls basketball coaching staff assist with coaching selection, player evaluation and team practices.
The organization provides supplies, training and administrative support for tournament and practice scheduling, etc. Volunteers need have completed the VIRTUS training. It is a great opportunity for an alumni or friend of SMC! If interested, please submit a Volunteer Coach Application found under the FORMS link at the left.
