St. Margaret Mary
Co-Curricular
St. Margaret Mary School provides an exceptional educational program. In addition to the curriculum, we provide other activities to meet the interests of our students. During the school day, many of our fourth and fifth grade students take part in Band. Our band instructor offers group lessons and a band practice each week. We also offer piano lessons during the school day. These lessons take place one day a week. Our General Music teacher has begun a Percussion Band, open to students from the end of fourth grade and during fifth grade. Students practice during their recess time and participated in three parades during this school year. Baton twirlers were added this year. These girls, from third through fifth grade, practice after school one evening a week. They are becoming proficient enough to develop some of their own routines.

After school hours, our students participate in Scouting. We have Tiger Scout, Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troops as well as Girl Scouts, Brownies, and Daisy Scouts. We also offer Team Sports. Third, fourth, and fifth graders are involved in competitive soccer and fifth graders play competitive basketball. There is a Saturday morning skills development program for second through fourth grade students in basketball. New this year is a Chess Club. Students meet one evening a week and participated in their first tournament this spring.

Our fifth graders participate in Forensics and lead our Student Council. They are also responsible for the School Store and planning of student led events such as Winter Carnival and the Talent Show. Our children participate in liturgy planning and choir and are also trained as altar servers. We are always open to adding new activities to expand educational, spiritual, cultural, and community building offerings.
