Parent Involvement Opportunities

Because TCCES strongly believes in building community, parents are warmly encouraged to become involved with the schools at every grade level. Opportunities vary from helping in the elementary classroom to chaperoning field trips, serving hot lunch and coaching or mentoring a school team.

Each elementary school welcomes parent volunteers as lunchroom, classroom and office helpers. In addition, St. Gabriel, St. Margaret Mary and St. Mary schools all have strong parent organizations that provide enrichment opportunities for students and raise money for special projects and programs.

Seton not only encourages parents to remain active in the lives of their children, the school actually expects it! A unique requirement of 40 hours of volunteer commitment to the school can be fulfilled in a variety of ways, including chaperoning events or retreats, helping in the office or lunchroom, providing transportation to sporting events and even attending meetings and conferences. Volunteer needs in specific and/or general areas will be announced in the newsletter or through the bi-weekly envelope information. Activities vary from Seton office-centered help, to Seton sports, to at-home jobs. Click here for more information.

SMC truly appreciates the dedication and commitment shown by every parent and community volunteer. There are many ways for parents to get involved at SMC.  Click here for more details.

Please note that every adult volunteer who has contact with students is required to complete VIRTUS® - Protecting God's Children training.
